These materials will help my class learn how to navigate technology, as well as increase their comfort level in speaking. My children have been in the US for less than 2 years (immigrants and refugees). Every year, they have a state-mandated test requiring them to speak to the computer. They have little to no experience with technology and are self-conscious. In the past 8 years, I have found the more they can listen to themselves, see themselves and practice using different technology, the more confident they become directly leads to greater success on testing. Having recording devices, projectors, web cameras, charging devices will allow my children to enter the age of technology as well as find different avenues to practice speaking to themselves and others. My dream to have them create projects to share their lives with others as well as learn how to speak/project their English correctly.
