The materials in this project- the Versatiles kit, and Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to create fun, hands-on activities to be used during our independent literacy centers. They will provide activities to practice literacy skills such as phonics, fluency, and reading comprehension. Versatiles are a self-checking system, which will help students work independently while I am working in small groups with other students. Strong literacy skills make students feel more confident as readers. The more confident students feel, the better they will become as readers. It is my goal as a teacher to make sure my students love books, and love reading- and I believe this project will help achieve that goal.
