Thank you for your interest in my project! Our old singlets are 10+ years old, and the time has come to begin replacing them. Our team motto is "students first, athletes second" because we place the emphasis on being a student who puts forth effort into their academic achievement first, and being an athlete with a sound mind and fit body second.
Our athletes have varied experience with wrestling, some with no experience and others who have been wrestling in competitive out of school clubs since they could walk. As a result, we turn our experienced athletes into leaders on the mat and in the classroom. We encourage students to hold each other accountable for higher academic achievement. This means that if they see a team mate lagging behind in the halls, there is a verbal encouragement from one student to the other to get to class on time. The encouragement follows over to the mat as well.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness in donating to our team. As a title one school, our students do not have the funds to purchase personal singlets. Our donors are great people, and we thank you for everything that you have done for students in the past, and in the future.
