My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interests of my students. Students in my classroom like to read and must use personal devices every day for programs that support their skill development. My school media center doesn’t have a headphones to lend, so I would like to have headphones for every student. Struggling readers, especially need headphones to filter out distractions in the classroom. Since we work in small groups, it’s important for students to have support to focus on their learning. Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is a perfect way to build better readers. We use digital devices daily and there is always a need for headphones. Parents are not always able to purchase these. I would like every child to have their own headphone. Sharing headphones is not sanitary. Using headphones facilitates individualization.
