I can't tell you how excited and curious the kids were when they first saw me unpacking the new ela materials. I kept hearing questions like \"what's that.\" ,\"when will my group get that center?\". When every thing was setup we got together for circle time on the carpet for a demo on how to use our new things. When they separated into groups I didn't even have to redirect anyone. The kids were just so excited to try everything out. There weren't even any complaints when the class had to pack the center box back up and pass it to the next group. The were just so gung-ho about the whole situation. We did get a couple of complaints when ELA was over because they wanted to continue with the centers. All an all I think 🤔, we've integrated the materials rather well into the classroom. A lot of the things you've donated for our classroom use deal with word study. I've noticed that my kids tend to do a lot better with more hands on materials, so this has helped a lot with keeping them interested. We've just gotten to the point where blending sounds together from the letters we've learned is heavily focused on. So identification of the letters and pictures used on the of the materials is a big help. Our next steps will be to work towards making our concrete examples, abstract so the underlying lesson stays firmly in the kids heads. I cannot express how grateful I am for your continued support of our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746787098341,"projectUrl":"project/ela-exciting-learning-always-counts/9306170/","projectTitle":"ELA “Exciting Learning Always” Counts","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6973213_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1645040526853","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6973213"},{"teacherId":6973213,"projectId":9294514,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donation! The kids have enjoyed having a place to put \"their stuff\". It's also had the added benefit of helping the kids memorize their assigned numbers. The foldable bookcases afford us a lot more space in our classroom. We can fit some cozy and fun chairs on our carpet now!. The kids have also recognizing been practicing recognizing their names on their chair pockets. The zipper bags make independent centers and clean up fast and easy. So we are taking the responsibility of putting things away, and organizing ourselves very well. The kids have also been able to start setting up their math bags with the clear book pockets that we got from you guys. They now have ten frame mats, bears, and snap cubes on hand for their math tool kits. It's shaping up to be a great year for kindergarten, and we couldn't have done it without you!","fullyFundedDate":1746787008819,"projectUrl":"project/organizing-for-a-fabulous-year/9294514/","projectTitle":"Organizing for a Fabulous Year","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6973213_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1645040526853","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6973213"},{"teacherId":7825126,"projectId":8487316,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your generous contribution to my classroom project and supplies.
