"Monster" & "Maniac Magee" are titles that will pique their interest. The markers will rebuild the dried-out, incomplete class set we have been making due with for 2 years. They love coloring "Zen" mandalas, or taking an "art" day. For the first time in many of their "school careers," my students are eagerly reading and finishing books. Many openly admit the 3-4 books we read each year in class are the only books they have ever read. The computer accessories will be shared among the class, as not all students are able to provide their own. Right now we are all sharing 1 computer mouse!
