A jiu jitsu and wrestling program at my school would provide students with an opportunity to be active, will help reduce stress, and will teach patience, all while improving their mental strength, memory and brain function. With the help of generous donors, I would like to offer a free after school program that will keep students healthy and will help build character. I am requesting wrestling mats. Jiu jitsu and wrestling are extremely beneficial for students, both physically and academically. The benefits of the program include building healthy friendships, establishing good habits and discipline, learning to deal with and overcome obstacles, learning the principles of respect, provides additional opportunities for counseling, helps builds self confidence, teaches self defense, and lastly helps to bring an end to bullying.
