Integrating technology in the classroom allows students to take charge of their learning and learn in a way that could benefit them in the future. With this being the 21st century more and more jobs are asking of people to be skilled with technological devices. In addition, our students use technological devices at home and this is when they are having fun. In my student's classroom, the learning is done in a '"flipped" style. Due to the high special education population and inclusive classrooms, whole group instruction can be difficult. To address the needs of all my students, I record my self at home and the students watch my lectures. When the students are watching my lectures, I am able to pull my special education students for intense small group instruction.I have noticed amazing differences in my students when through the use of learning with technology! My students are going to be mixing fun, engagement, and learning about how to use a key tool for their future! In order to this, my student require headphones. When we watch the lecture videos, it can be overwhelming to hear thirty student's computers going off at once. Some students have had to go out in the hallway due to their frustration of not being able to hear their lecture. In order to correct this, my students would benefit from a classroom set of headphones. A lot of the students come from low-income families and can not afford quality head phones or misplace them. I know that with a classroom set of headphones, my students will thrive! They will be able to focus on their videos and learn in ways that will prepare them for their future!
