My students struggle maintaining their interest in reading. The newly created reading corner will bring their excitement about reading to a whole new level. Students will be able to select a book on their level and then choose a cozy and comfortable seat to read their book. We will use our new reading area during both independent reading times and partner reading times. The reading corner will also be utilized during classroom read alouds. The new books and book shelves in the reading corner will help my students grow stronger in their reading ability, learn to love reading, and become a lifelong reader. The best way to increase reading ability and interest is to read more, and the new reading corner will allow this for my students.
