More than half of my students are English Language Learners. All of my students are from an urban environment. The materials I am requesting are proven to aid in the development of vocabulary. English Language Learners and urban students alike are benefitted through studying vocabulary. Many studies have shown that increasing vocabulary knowledge also increases successful comprehension for students. It is my sincere hope that through the funding of this project I can aid all of my students in blossoming with their reading comprehension. My students work hard every day in my classroom and are deserving of a champion for their learning. I aim each day to fulfill this need for them. The reality is that I need your support to do so.
