Dictionaries will enhance learning in our classroom. Dictionaries allow students to look for unknown words they come across while they are reading. They are also able to use them to look for definitions of words they come across on tests. Dictionaries are also used in our classroom as a way to teach students to use print resources. By donating to this project, you are helping my students enhance their vocabulary knowledge and increase their academic achievement! With the few dictionaries we have, students have been reading the dictionary during their writing time to broaden their word choice. I have noticed dictionaries have had a positive impact on my students by helping them grow. I am hoping by having updated, age appropriate dictionaries, they will grow even more!
