The City of Chelsea was hit hard by COVID-19. An extremely densely populated community it at one time had the most infected people in the state of Massachusetts. Due to this, school is entirely remote. My goal is to make this remote experience as pleasant and authentic as possible. I intend on doing my instruction from my classroom so my students can get familiar with this environment. My classroom only has a desktop computer, which will not allow me to move around the room and teach from different areas. I would also like to be able to take my computer to and from school, so I am able to do work while at home and communicate with students and families after school hours. I so desperately want this school year to be effective and genuine for these children. They need their education and my hope for this year is to make this year fun and exciting for them despite all the challengers we face.
