My students will have access to many fun learning experiences focusing on math and language arts in order to ‘catch up’ to students whose homes provide some of these very experiences and therefore start out in school ahead of my students from often times trauma filled homes!! We will learn through play. We will create centers that provide opportunities for imaginative play like an ice cream shop! We will read books related to the materials to provide many opportunities for vocabulary development. Through all these activities we will promote socio emotional learning and guide our children to build a community of learners!
