I am trying to give my students more hands-on experiences to enhance their learning. The students love challenges and puzzles. Bringing the escape room experience into the classroom will do just that. The escape room activities will provide the students with a different level of group work in completing tasks. The different varieties of locks and lock boxes will enhance the engagement of the students. Could this be done the same with just paper envelopes, yes. The actual locks and boxes will be more interesting for the students and draw them in. This experience for the students can be used across all subject areas. Depending on the subject, students will answer or solve different types of questions based upon what they have learned. The students must work together to complete each individual task in order. The correct answers will allow them to unlock their boxes for the next clues. This is engaging and learning at the same time!
