The new resources have allowed for more targeted, engaging, and differentiated instruction, helping students build stronger phonics foundations, improve decoding skills, and gain confidence as readers. With access to high-quality materials and tools, students are more motivated to participate in literacy activities and are demonstrating greater independence during reading time.\r\n\r\nAll students have shown significant growth on their mid-year phonics and reading assessments, which reflects both their hard work and the impact of these donated resources. Notably, 30% of students have grown to just below or at grade-level expectations—an exciting and encouraging milestone. This progress represents more than data points; it shows increased self-confidence, perseverance, and a growing belief among students that they can be successful readers.","fullyFundedDate":1760660948331,"projectUrl":"project/help-support-my-students-literacy/9830589/","projectTitle":"Help Support My Students' Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8435662_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y144&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651430224944","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsjohnson302"},{"teacherId":10309979,"projectId":9821796,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the small group items to use in my classroom!! They are able to practice comprehension, fluency, and creating words without being scared of making a mistake. Students love to work together and show me all their hard work when they finish. \r\n\r\nStudents are also enjoying the new bins in the library. The previous bins were hard to move off the shelf or were easily cracked/broken. With new, sturdier bins, students are able to easily take them off the shelf and find the book they are looking for.","fullyFundedDate":1760360953513,"projectUrl":"project/mrs-kellys-little-learners/9821796/","projectTitle":"Mrs. Kelly’s Little Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kelly","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10309979_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760407100411","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10309979"},{"teacherId":1271095,"projectId":9833032,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my classroom has been transformed into a more engaging, welcoming, and meaningful learning space. The maps, globes, and interactive geography and economics materials have allowed students to explore concepts hands-on, strengthening their map skills and deepening their understanding of real-world topics like supply and demand. Lessons that once felt abstract are now concrete and exciting, and students are more eager to participate, ask questions, and make connections to the world around them.\r\n\r\nThe financial literacy texts have had an especially powerful impact. Students are actively discussing budgeting, saving, and responsible spending, and they are beginning to see how these skills apply to their own lives. The dictionaries and atlases have become daily tools in our classroom, supporting vocabulary development, research, and reading comprehension while encouraging independence and curiosity.\r\n\r\nFinally, the reading rug has turned our classroom library into a cozy, inviting space where students love to gather with books. Reading time now feels calm, comfortable, and special, helping foster a positive reading culture and a genuine love of learning. Your support has made a lasting difference in my students' engagement, confidence, and enthusiasm for learning, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness.","fullyFundedDate":1760792868335,"projectUrl":"project/from-maps-to-money-hands-on-learning-fo/9833032/","projectTitle":"From Maps to Money: Hands-On Learning for Future Leaders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hitch","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1271095_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1463159663042","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-hitch"},{"teacherId":1920703,"projectId":9825354,"letterContent":"We are using the new resources daily during whole-group and small-group instruction, and they have already made a noticeable impact on student engagement and learning. For example, during a recent math lesson on addition and subtraction, students used the hands-on materials to model problems, explain their thinking, and check their work. Having access to these tools allowed students to move beyond paper-and-pencil tasks and truly make sense of the math, which increased both confidence and participation.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate. They were eager to explore and couldn't wait to use them during lessons. Several students even asked if they could use the materials during independent work time. The colorful, durable, and easy-to-use supplies made learning feel more interactive and fun, and students quickly took ownership of using them responsibly and effectively.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our next steps include using these resources to support deeper learning and differentiation. Students will continue applying them in upcoming lessons to practice new skills, participate in collaborative problem-solving, and reinforce concepts during intervention and enrichment groups. These materials will remain an essential part of our classroom, helping students build understanding, confidence, and a love of learning every day.","fullyFundedDate":1760468318454,"projectUrl":"project/get-comfortable-were-here-to-learn/9825354/","projectTitle":"Get Comfortable: We're Here to Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Donoway","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1920703_orig.png?crop=398,398,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1605899689227","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1920703"},{"teacherId":196276,"projectId":9824266,"letterContent":"Thank you for this tremendous donation to our classroom!
