Every morning in our classroom we take time to build, learn and work together through STEM activities. Students are able to choose a STEM activity and learn through play with their peers. However, we have to borrow manipulatives from other classrooms, other on going projects in the classroom and we just don't have enough! STEM projects help bridge general education with social emotional learning, problem solving and group work. By adding to the STEM collection in our classroom students will be able to go deeper into exploring engineering. They will be able to use this product in order to explore the STEM world and with the task cards they will have a more directed sense of play. Starting our school day with STEM centers not only allows my students to explore different activities but it also allows them to start their day with their classmates, building classroom community. It allows them to get energy out with movement, therefore creating a higher level of focus throughout the rest of the day and creates something for the students to look forward to everyday!
