Our classroom is currently in need of five keyboards for performance, music technology, and composition projects. Whether the goal is to learn about composition, performance, technology, or history, 'doing' is the foundation that connects students to the music. Background: Music is a experiential discipline that requires hands-on activities to develop a deeper connection between students and the music. The keyboard is a universal tool that can be utilized in not only traditional performance settings but also composition and technology. Within the classroom, students learn the piano in both individual and ensemble setting in addition to using the piano to help compose music for such things as student films, movie trailers, video games, commercials, and more.
