Having access to quality sport and fitness equipment is essential in being able to teach Physical Education. Physical Education teachers don't merely teach games, we strive to provide more than teaching standards to our students. We passionately teach our students how to learn through deep knowledge and movement concepts which include: fitness, sports, nutrition and life long wellness. Providing Physical Education for children helps to support their growth physically, mentally and academically. I uniquely teach through movement. When my students tangibly utilize manipulatives such as sport and or fitness,and wellness equipment, they gain skills they may not otherwise receive outside of a physical education class. I teach over 270 children per week. I constantly uses materials that students need to share daily. Ware and tear naturally happens. Unlike classroom materials and supplies, my students don't get to just "have their own." They need equipment that can be durable for indoor and outdoor use and through many different types of surfaces. My students and I feel confident and assured when we are able to use durable equipment for our lessons. We work hard to achieve the skills and knowledge necessary for a quality Physical Education experience.
