The materials we are asking for will help our students to be ready to learn and develop their skills in all related service areas (speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy as well as social-emotional and ABA therapy.) Our students rely on adaptive (and often expensive) equipment to help them overcome challenges and access learning. We will use these items across therapy sessions and in their classrooms to help students engage with lessons in a way that is most effective for their individual needs. As "related services" specialists, we focus on a variety of goals that help the students be as independent as possible. Having these items readily available will make it easier for the staff and students to access their daily activities and or IEP goals. Items such as visual timers are used to support students transitioning between activities or tasks, Sensory items will give our students the output they need to be successful throughout their school day. Every item we have put on our list is essential to our staff and students' day, that unfortunately, we do not have a budget for.
