Playing a musical instrument should be an opportunity available to all students. We are trying to get some supplies that will give us the ability to support kids in need, keep them involved, and help them grow into the best people they can be. Students will use these supplies to keep the band's instruments functioning and working correctly. The percussion equipment will be utilized by all the bands in the school to enhance their performance pieces. Through music, kids develop skills in focus, persistence, and how to function as part of a team. They experience hands-on learning and get to show their hard work through performing. The best moments in my teaching career are when parents tell me that in the band is where their child feels successful, accepted, and excited to learn.
