I have preschool students that are ready to learn to read. My students enjoy reading their books and retelling their story. Right now my students interpret their books by looking at the pictures. With the aides I will be able to introduce my students to CVC words and build on their knowledge of letter recognition. Theses materials will help build my students skills in learning to read fluently. My students will be excited to read a book and actually know what it says without guessing. The carpet will provide my students appropriate seating during class meetings and story time. Right now we don't have a carpet to sit on. We are sitting on pieces of mats.
