My students are brilliant, quirky, expressive, hands-on learners. They read stories with energy and originality, they relish acting out scenes and explaining their ideas. They love mentoring kindergarten and first grade students, and give up their lunches or recesses to see them. Our school is full of energy, but sometimes we do not have access to all of the things we need. My students and I love working with technology. They pick up new ideas quickly and often surpass my knowledge of a new website or program in a matter of minutes. They deserve as many opportunities as possible to learn new things and apply their knowledge.
