I am a first year teacher in the inner city, and I have worked hard to supply my classroom with resources that my students will enjoy using. However, I have seen that we need additional supplies to create a fun, comfortable environment in the classroom. As the weather changes, we are not able to go outside for recess. Although I have some games, my students would greatly benefit from adding more games to their recess time. I have one puzzle, and they have a ton of fun doing it so they would love to get more puzzles! They also have a ton of fun building things, whether that be with legos or blocks, so they would have so much fun getting a large set of building blocks. Another popular item used in our class, on a daily basis multiple times a day, are markers. All of them loves being creative and getting to draw or color. They would all be so excited to get some new markers in different colors to use when they are working on their projects. Both myself and my students would greatly benefit from the addition of these items to our classroom. They would benefit academically from some of the games, but they would also have a ton of fun getting to play with them at recess.
