The use of whiteboards in the math classroom is essential for students to be able to practice and build confidence in their abilities. Right now with limited resources it is hard to utilize the interactive learning that can take place with the use of whiteboards. Not only do the use of whiteboards make it is easy and a quick way for teachers to check in on where my students understanding is with new concepts, but it also promotes engagement from the students. There is something magical about a whiteboard and marker versus a basic pencil and paper practice. By donating to our project you will not only help improve the students ability to focus and engage in the tasks at hand, but also enhance their learning and academic achievement. While the whiteboards and markers are an essential part of my classroom, I've also asked for support in providing basic classroom supplies. Coming from a low economic area most of our students are coming to school without the basic necessities of pencils and paper to complete daily work. Most students also do not have basic scientific calculators so having the ability to utilize the classroom set of calculators will benefit them in their computation skills.
