My students are very energetic and learn best when able to move around. Movement allows them to get their energy out and refocus on their learning. I’m looking for flexible seating so students can choose what type of seat works best for them. Throughout the day, I give them the opportunity to move around the room and work. I want them to be able to choose a location in the classroom that suits their needs and get comfortable. Students being comfortable is key to their learning, and a great motivational tool. With more flexible seating, I’ll be able to reward more students demonstrating positive behaviors. My energetic students are actively engaged and highly motivated when given the opportunity of movement and comfort. I have selected products that will help encourage movement and motivate students to work hard. I selected desk risers to make desks higher for those students that like to stand while working. The bouncy balls and wobbly stools are great for my students who have trouble sitting still. The floor cushions can be used to make working on the classroom floor more soft and comfortable. The portable stools make a great workstation; they can slide their feet right under the stool and place their work on top. The small portable desks will be a great replacement to sitting on towels and using a clipboard. They can move those around the room, be comfortable, and have a writing surface. Overall, I have seen flexible seating do wonders for other classrooms and their students. I have also seen my students work harder when they are comfortable and motivated to earn a “special” seat. My students and I would be so grateful for any support and donations!
