Our scholars have been out of the classroom and school building for approximately two years. It is going to be a challenging process to get scholars back in the mood for learning and adjust back to the school environment. The floor chair, lamp, sensory tools, and posters will help scholars learn useful and calm techniques in order to help calm their minds and bodies when they become too overwhelmed or anxious. "I want to enjoy school and learning again!" has been expressed to me multiple times since we started preparing to open our school campus back up for the 2021-2022 school year. So many scholars are ready to be back in the classroom since having their 2019-2020 school year interrupted. It is my goal to ensure that scholars have a safe space within the classroom to gather themselves in a few moments and be able to return back to the learning environment quickly.
