The water based printing ink by Speedball is young-child friendly and easy to clean up, even in my studio that has no sink. Baby wipes, which we have, do the cleaning beautifully! The ink is the only thing that I will eventually need to replenish, as the other items will be used for years to come. The printing brayers and the inking trays are necessary so my kids do not "over-indulge" in applying ink to their artwork, which can ruin the fabulous details they are planning to include on the print. Two children can partner up and share one tray and one brayer (and help each other, if necessary!). The clear sheets are the "vehicle" that helps each student apply the ink to their own paper and transfer the individual details of the sketch onto the final art piece. And I already bought tons of paper! You cannot bestow your generosity on more grateful and enthusiastic recipients. Printmaking is art, science, and fun!
