Graphing calculators have been used in the Math classroom for speed, to leap hurdles, to make connections among representations, and to permit realism through the use of authentic data. I have struggled with requiring students to buy their own graphing calculators. I thought it would be best if there are calculators available to use in class. Explaining the different functions and examining how their graphs are different would make sense more to students if they created the graphs themselves. I hope for my students to have the best Math learning and having graphing calculators to use in class would make a difference!
