I'm a new special education classroom teacher and am working on getting my students excited to read. I'm looking to create an environment where even the most hesitant reader will get excited about what they might find if they just open a book. I feel that a book shelf which can display the front and/or back cover of a book will only help to entice my students to pick up that book, and maybe never want to put it back down. I'm hoping that being able to display our books in a way in which a student can't help but glance at it while passing by will be the first step in what might turn into a love of reading.
