This project will allow my students the opportunity to explore the unique and fun art medium of printmaking! Printmaking is often a favorite among my students, but unfortunately, the high cost of materials does not always make it feasible. With this project, students will stretch and explore as they learn relief printing basics using printing foam and easy-cut linoleum blocks. Students will learn a variety of techniques, practice carving & printing processes, and participate in hands-on lessons that will encourage their creativity and problem-solving skills. This project will allow students to expand their art making knowledge and will encourage experimentation through the printmaking process. Students will utilize multiple art mediums and concepts (such as digital art, drawing, painting, color theory, etc.) while sharing their creative ideas through this highly engaging art medium.
