The boys on the wrestling team at our school come from low-income families that cannot afford to buy their students warm-up suits and wrestling gear. Our school does not have athletic booster support like many other schools. Our team usually just warms up in their own shorts and shirts. Having these hoodies would improve the current wrestling team’s spirit and pride. When we attend games, we are the only team in the district that doesn't have warm-ups. Proper wrestling attire would encourage more students to participate in wrestling and would mean a lot to the boys currently on the team. It will help them feel equal to the other schools, and give them a sense of pride in what they do.
