In my classroom, we have stations and lots of activities that require students to write their responses in small groups. Charting the Course is filled with supplies for our small group assignments so students can write on the paper with lines. The hardest part with early writers is neat and readable writing so the lined chart paper and markers will help them master that skill. In addition, my students like having activity sheets laminated so they can use them again and for them it helps make mistakes less permanent. The sheets will be used by the students to preserve their work as they work to master skills and grow!
