Although most of my day is dedicated to teaching English classes, I am lucky enough to have the chance to teach a class called Expanded Opportunity. During this period, students create STEAM-based hands-on projects. I provide them with a variety of project options in different categories. They work through the creation process, sometimes independently and sometimes collaboratively. At the completion of a project, they do a "show and share" about what they created, what worked well, what was challenging, and what they would do differently if they were to approach that project again. The 3D printing pens will allow students to work through the design process and bring their ideas to life during Expanded Opportunity class.
