Young students benefit greatly from hands-on learning. Allowing the students to use tactile materials throughout the day increases their understanding of the concepts and skills they are learning. The building and learning materials purchased through this grant will give my students the opportunity to further their learning. Learning to work together in collaborative groups is a vital parts of a young child's learning. Hands-on games and center activities provide students with opportunities to develop collaborative social skills. The items purchased through this grant will be used during learning centers as well as during inside recess days throughout the winter months.
