We need the gear in order to play the sport. Being on the wrestling team builds a connection within a school that is not focused solely on academics. Due to COVID, previous wrestlers had their season cut short and they weren't able to even go to campus for over a year. You would be helping me justify my decision to not charge the students for missing equipment for the gap seasons. When we are able to wrestle again, I want to be fully supplied without having to fine students who lost their seasons. Them not getting to compete and then getting fined would be too much.
