The items selected will be used by student members of FRC Team 1922 Oz-Ram to more efficiently design, build, and test a robot for the upcoming FIRST Robotics Competition season. In particular, the Oculus VR Headset will allow the students to maneuver the robot in a simulation of the FIRST Robotics Competition game. This will help the students to get an improved feel for the interaction of the robot, the field, and game pieces beyond the information given in the manual. The reciprocating saw will enable students of all sizes more ability to engage in the fabrication of the robot. And the coach will hear less whining about hacksaws!
