My students read every day in our classroom. The classroom library is a place visited by every student and is full of stories that spark the love of reading in my 5th graders. These books will help build our classroom library and allow them to learn about important people in history. It will allow them to expand their knowledge of the past so they are better prepared for the future. With a strong knowledge of the past, my students will be able to tackle challenges throughout their education experience and into their adult life as well. My students will use these "Who am I?" books for our book report. They will read one of the books for their oral report. For the report, they will dress up as the person in history they learned about. This will help strengthen their speaking skills, presentation skills, fluency skills as well as grow their confidence.
