Why is flexible seating important? Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In turn, this burns more calories and increases metabolism. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused. While moving my students will benefit from making growth in their learning and be more successful in life. Flexible seating alters the physical space of a classroom to create a learning environment that can help a student focus on what they are learning as opposed to focusing on trying to focus. We as people are natural movers and shakers, and students can't always turn that off.
