By integrating Scholastic News in my classroom, my students will be able to stay current on what is happening in the world around them. The more exposed they are to the events of the past, present and future, the better citizens they will be. Using Scholastic News will also help students to increase their reading, writing and critical thinking skills. My students will benefit from these materials, by being exposed to a variety of topics. These books will help to build our classroom library to provide my students with more choices and allow them to increase their engagement in reading.
