We are an online school, so my students are completing their school work at home. Our school was greatly impacted by Covid-19. We gained a lot of children that did not feel comfortable going to a physical school with other individuals. Many of these students that joined our school had a gap in their education because of the time in quarantine. Students receive a few books with their supplies that are provided, but I would love for the students to have access to more reading materials. The Scholastic News digital would provide the students new material to read weekly. I teach four reading classes each day and I have struggled to find chapter books for some of my wonderful readers. The books and envelopes would enable me to mail students a chapter book to use for our reading class for our literature discussions. I also would like to make learning fun, and Brainpop Jr. helps get the students excited for the topic that is being introduced!
