I am requesting an iPad and an Apple Pencil to help my students work on their goals in an engaging way! Many of my students struggle with reading and writing both inside and outside the classroom. Having an iPad can provide them with additional opportunities to target literacy and writing skills. Having access to this technology will provide them with an alternative and engaging way to target their speech and language goals! It will provide them with the opportunity to reference visuals of their strategies as they read passages, to use the apple pencil to take notes and/or complete literacy tasks, and to use fun applications to target a variety of goals, such as phonological awareness, reading comprehension, and writing.
