My students are in a special program known as Career Readiness Initiative where they are trained in a trade other than the traditional education. Most of these classes are held in the afternoon. Most times the students feel like snacking and come up to me and ask for some things to snack on or water to drink. When denied they feel discouraged, sleepy and unmotivated' I believe with these snacks, it will help them remain focused and engaged on their work. It will keep them from asking for hall passes every minute to look for snacks or water to drink.
