Over the last year, I have been lucky to have avid readers in my classroom. We've had reading conferences, book logs, and many trips to the library, but one aspect we've been missing is a proper classroom library. I have tried my best to get new texts in the class, but there is only so much one man can do. I have never been around a group of students that are completely enamored with reading and are constantly seeking new material to feast their eyes on. They'll often approach me and gush about something new that they've read or will write beyond the expectation for book logs because they are so eager to share. With a diverse, grade appropriate classroom library, I look forward to continuing to encourage their love of reading.
