The materials will be used by the students to create presentation boards that they will enter into a National History Day competition. Their first step is to display their boards in front of our school, and then they will enter them into a local BOCES competition. If any of the student's presentations are chosen as winners, they will then move on to the state level competition! My students have been working hard researching and developing ideas for this year's theme: Breaking Barriers. They have all come up with wonderful ideas ranging from the Great Wall of China to Olympic Gymnast Gabby Douglas. With the students working so hard, it would be wonderful for them to have some of the supplies they need to create their projects without having them have to worry about paying for them.
