My role as the School Social Worker includes assisting students during times of stress and anxiety. Many of my students have IEP (Individual Education Plans) and 504 plans. My room is often used to assist them with their accommodations. The lighting in my room is so bright and does not allow for a calming effect and the seating is hard. The floor lamps, bean bag chairs, and weighted blanket along with the relaxing sound machine will transform a cold environment into one that is warm, calming, and inviting. Your donation to our project will aid in providing a warm and nurturing environment conducive to their learning successes.
