Students will be given the opportunity to learn computer science and computer networks using the Oculus VR system with and game developed by Pacific Northwest Laboratory (PNNL) called "Network Collapse". The students will get a glimpse of what network routers do to transfer data from computer-to-computer and protecting computers for viruses. The students take the seat as the router and transfer files directly through LAN cables, through Wifi, using Firewall to stop the router from being overwhelmed, and determining if data packages are legit or infected with viruses. The students will walk away with a new appreciation of what some of the most common technologies found in American households do to keep their online use safe and efficient.
