These books will enhance the options for students within the media center. The school library is a place that our students love visiting - they even have a "full-time reading therapy dog" to practice their skills with. The books we are requesting are ones that are on subjects and are at reading levels that our students need. As a media specialist, I monitor which books our students read or request. I will be especially excited if we can incorporate the Newberry set into our collection. We would also love to have the STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) books in our building, as we now have a STEM class for our students. With reading, practice makes perfect. We try our best to keep our students' interest by offering materials that they LIKE to read. These books will help our students to improve their reading abilities. This project will help enrich their reading experiences! Thank you!
