Please help me provide as many accessible fitness options for my students. The unique kids in my class need to feel safe and comfortable before they will really engage in physical fitness. Many of them find barbells and dumbells intimidating or lack strong enough motor skills to use them properly. A set of medicine balls will help introduce them to training with weights and practicing functional movement. Having my students build healthy skills for lifelong activities is the most important thing I do each day. I love seeing their confidence in themselves grow when they conquer new skills. The baseball equipment and snowshoes I am requesting will go towards just that. Mindfully exploring nature is an activity that few of these students have had. Offering that opportunity in a Minnesota winter will be a great help to their mental and physical health.
