My students are young and energetic. They need to get up from their desk and move around. Carpet time in my class is an exciting time where stories come to life. We bond on the carpet and we share openly on the carpet. I would love for my class to have a classroom carpet that belongs in a classroom. With no PTO and limited funding I can not afford a classroom rug for my class. My 3rd grade babies deserve the absolute best and I can not provide that for them. While this breaks my heart, I do know that my students are appreciative of anything.. a carpet remnant or small rug. They are happy. I want them to experience a classroom with a rug that holds everyone and facilitates learning.
