The exercise mats will be used this year in a kindergarten class. It will benefit 22 eager and enthusiastic learners. Students will use the mats in their social distanced spaces in the classroom. We will use them during morning meeting to warm up for the day. The mats will be used during transitions to refocus our attention and to give students a chance to get up from their desks. The mats will even be utilized outside for exercises at recess time. Next year, the mats will be used in a socio-emotional humanities classroom benefiting pre-k-5th grade students. We will use the mats to stretch and do self regulation. They will also be offered as a flexible seating choice for students during instruction.
